The Hospitaller Order of Saint John of Jerusalem operates under the Royal Charter and Constitution of His late Majesty King Peter II of Yugoslavia. Its members share a common devotion to Saint John the Baptist and to the spiritual heritage of the ancient Knights of Saint John — a tradition of chivalry, faith, and service to the sick, the injured, and the poor reaching back to the Holy Land in the eleventh century.
